Guide and Local Network Sync
Opening Guide from Live TV selects the playing channel's actual category and row. Favorites
browsing stays independent, duplicate channel names cannot substitute another identity, and
older asynchronous work cannot move a newer opening.
After encrypted Local Network Sync copies configuration to a paired TV, playlist imports
request their mandatory initial EPG even when later automatic refreshes are disabled.
Playlist and EPG work coordinate their heavy database access. EPG/catalog databases are
fetched from your own sources rather than copied. Final Google TV acceptance is still required.
Backup security and portable recovery
Secure-store initialization and retries no longer abort backup navigation or setup. Failed
SMB credential changes preserve the working account. Legacy migration, account-identity
validation, R8-stable rollback serialization, scheduling and operation status are strengthened.
Credentials fail closed without plaintext fallback. Local/SMB backup and encrypted portable
restore remain supported; existing portable backup recovery remains available after Premium expires.
For reinstall recovery, retain a surviving file outside app storage and its original encryption
password separately. Neither app sign-in nor a Google account can recover that password.
Google Drive Preview: unavailable
The native encrypted backup and TV-specific authorization infrastructure is introduced as
Preview, unconfigured and unavailable for general release use. Connection,
production cloud backup/recovery and first-run Drive recovery are unavailable in this release.
Local Network Sync is separate from Drive. Local/SMB portable recovery remains supported.
This announcement makes no claim of live Google authorization, upload or cloud recovery.
VOD quality and optional trailer previews
Movies and individual episodes can show 4K/UHD badges only when provider video dimensions
qualify (3840–4096 by 2160). Titles and bitrate alone do not qualify; a single UHD episode
cannot label a whole series. Metadata is scoped to the item and cached to keep focus responsive.
Optional focused-card previews are off by default and use already-known direct
HTTP(S) media. YouTube trailers retain manual/external playback. Focus, lifecycle and generation
checks bound one separate preview player and respect main playback and Multi-View ownership.
Settings and recent Web Admin work
Global User-Agent presets/custom settings apply to subsequent IPTV requests while retaining
explicit overrides and MAG/Stalker protocol headers. Manage Playlists cards use the row width.
Recent Web Admin work clarifies account activity, unverified Pending accounts and protected
cleanup of abandoned signups older than 30 days. Website/backend delivery is separate from
Android publication; this release preparation deploys the website only.
Access, pricing and validation
Free includes one playlist and core Live TV with up to a 3-day EPG window. Premium/Lifetime
retain unlimited playlists, up to 14 days of EPG, VOD, Multi-View, recording and Local Network
Sync. Existing portable recovery is supported after expiry. Drive Preview remains unavailable.
U.S. reference prices remain $2.99 monthly, $11.99 yearly and $29.99 lifetime. Eligible subscription
trials and final localized terms are shown by Google Play. No promotion or billing product change is announced.
Automated source/build checks do not establish hardware acceptance or publication. Final
Google TV Android 16 acceptance and signed Android artifact/Play validation remain developer-controlled.
