Nine categories, every one of them implemented in the current build.
Channels
Tune by name or by number, move through the lineup, or step through other channels that matched the same spoken name.
| “Switch to Newsmax”also: tune to, put on, watch, change to, turn to, play | Finds the best matching live channel and tunes it. |
|---|---|
| “Tune to ESPN” | The same command in different words. |
| “Go to channel 125”also: channel 125, play channel 125 | Tunes by position in the channel list you are currently browsing. |
| “Channel up”also: next channel | The next channel in the normal order, exactly like the CH+ button. |
| “Channel down”also: previous channel | The previous channel in the normal order. |
| “Last channel” | Returns to the channel you were watching before this one. |
| “Next match”also: try the next one | Tries the next channel that matched the name you last spoke. |
| “Previous match”also: try the previous one | Goes back to the previous match in that same list. |
“Next match” is not “next channel”. Next match walks the candidates for the name you spoke. Next channel is ordinary channel-up through your lineup. The match list is kept for about 45 seconds and is cleared when you do something unrelated, such as opening the Guide.
Discovery
Movies, Series and live Guide searches are three different things, and PureFusionIPTV keeps them apart based on how you phrase the request.
| “Find horror movies”also: show me horror films | Searches Movies for the Horror genre. |
|---|---|
| “Find horror shows”also: find horror series | Searches Series for the Horror genre. |
| “What horror movies are on now?”also: find horror movies on now | Searches the live Guide for matching programmes airing right now. |
| “Search for Reacher”also: look for, find me | An ordinary search across everything. |
Where you already are counts. Saying “show horror” inside Movies searches Movies; the same phrase inside Series searches Series. Being explicit always wins — “find horror movies” goes to Movies no matter which screen you are on.
Playback
Transport controls for whatever is currently playing.
| “Play” | Starts or resumes playback. |
|---|---|
| “Resume”also: continue, unpause | The same as Play. |
| “Pause” | Pauses playback. |
| “Stop” | Stops playback. On Live TV this pauses the stream, so the channel is still there when you come back. |
| “Mute”also: turn the sound off | Silences the audio. |
| “Unmute”also: turn the sound on | Restores the level you were at before muting — not full volume. |
Volume
Relative changes and exact levels. One spoken command is one volume change, however many steps you ask for.
| “Volume up”also: turn it up, louder, raise the volume | One step louder. |
|---|---|
| “Volume up three”also: turn it up three notches, volume up 3 | Three steps louder. |
| “Turn it up a few notches” | Three steps louder. |
| “Volume down”also: turn it down, quieter, lower the volume | One step quieter. |
| “Turn it down five” | Five steps quieter. |
| “Turn it way down”also: turn it way up | Five steps, in the direction you asked for. |
| “Set volume to 50 percent”also: set volume to 25, volume 75 percent | Jumps straight to that level. |
Some hardware does not allow that. Set-top boxes with a fixed audio output, and many HDMI/ARC and CEC setups where a television or receiver owns the volume, report to Android that the level cannot be changed by an app. On those devices PureFusionIPTV safely falls back to adjusting its own playback volume instead, and tells you that is what it did (“Player volume increased”). If neither is possible — a fixed-volume device with nothing playing — it says so rather than pretending: “Volume is controlled by your TV or receiver.”
PureFusionIPTV never uses hidden or privileged system interfaces, simulated remote-button presses, or accessibility shortcuts to force a volume change. If your device says no, the answer is no.
Guide & Info
Details about what you are watching right now.
| “Show program info”also: show info, show channel info | Opens the programme information panel for the channel you are watching, the same panel the Info button shows. |
|---|---|
| “What’s on?”also: what’s playing, what am I watching | The same panel. |
Favorites
Add or remove the channel you are currently watching.
| “Favorite this channel”also: add this channel to favourites, add to my list | Saves the current channel to Favorites. |
|---|---|
| “Remove this channel from favorites”also: unfavourite this channel | Removes it again. |
Maintenance
Start a Guide or playlist update without going into Settings.
| “Refresh Guide”also: refresh EPG, update EPG, resync guide | Starts a full update of every enabled EPG source. Your existing Guide data stays on screen while the new data downloads. |
|---|---|
| “Update playlists”also: refresh playlists, reload playlists | Starts a refresh of all your playlists. |
Voice Search
Anything that is not recognised as a command becomes a search, exactly as it always has.
| “Family Guy” | Searches for the title. |
|---|---|
| “Reacher” | Searches for the title. |
| “Yellowstone” | Searches for the title. |
Where to speak
Both microphones understand exactly the same commands.
| Actions Bar microphone | Press OK on the player to bring up the Actions Bar, then choose the microphone. |
|---|---|
| Search microphone | The orb beside the Search field. Commands work here too, not just searches. |
